Jane Yuan, Artist's statement
Japanese mythology and Chinese mythology are two types of mythology in my work. I am interested in mythology and culture.
I am interested in representation of Asian women and traditional clothings that represent the Asian culture. I am interested in how identity is expressed through iconic clothing, and how contemporary identity can be expressed.
